Melee Weapons
Swords and Sabres
The weapons of desperation, and bravado depending on the situation. Swords are a weapon associated with chivalry and daring but they can be much more. Cavalry are the main users of these, charging in and slashing at their foes. Different types are more useful, Hussar sabers being the best for charging, Cuirassier swords being the best for extended melee, and dragoon swords the most generalist. There are also some other sword types that are a little rarer and more expensive, but having better stats. The Cavalry rely on their swords to fight, so arming them with the worst will likely lead to much worse outcomes for your troopers.
